I haven't ever started a Friday check in post but this week I'm so excited because I actually found something that is working. I've been on the Special K diet for 2 weeks and have lost 7 1/2 pounds so far. :happy dance: 4 last week and 3 1/2 this week! I have also been walking at least once a day and not eating after 7:00. Also, not eating seconds -- that's a big one for me.

How's everyone else doing?

That is awesome!!!! Way to go. I had another good week too. I lost 3 more pounds! I really can't believe how well I am doing. I am so darn proud of myself. I think I am going to be in the 120s by the time we go to the beach. Woohoo!!! Now that I have decided to get my boobs done I am even more motivated than ever. I want to be 125 by the time I have the surgery (5 weeks from today, yikes ). That is what I weighed all through my twenties until my first pregnancy and I haven't been there in almost 7 years. The food journal is REALLY helping me stay on track. I think anyone trying to lose weight needs to write down what you are eating. It keeps me from grabbing a handful of goldfish or a slice of cheese or whatever I am pulling out for the kids to snack on. I am making a real effort to plan my meals and it is working. I feel so in control, and that is an amazing feeling.

So far so good. Another 2 pounds lost this week. I love the nice weather. It makes it so much easier for me to be motivated! Plus with moving I have been doing a lot of running around. I am sure that it has something to do with it.

Great job, 3lynns. Moving definitely counts as lots of cardio! Lots of manual labor involved there.

What the heck happened to kotasmomma? She must be getting ready for her Hawaii trip about now. I miss her updates. She was jamming with her weight loss. Anyone hear from her? I want to know what her dh's reaction is when he gets off the plane and sees his wife looking all hot and fit!

Sorry this is late! I was so busy the past few days with slumber party, dh being out of town and so on- this is the first day I think I have been on since Thursday- i only lost 1 lb last week- which is okay- I guess. I will not be on very long- I totally blew my exercise and diet this past weekend:hurl: - anyways I have got to get back on track!

Stevesgal - I was thinking it must be the big weekend since we didn't hear from you. And good job - one pound is one pound! I hope the party was fun. Did your MIL end up paying for your dh's travel expenses? So far I haven't lost anything since last Friday either. I think I am getting to that point where it is going to be slow as molasses. I was really hoping to lose 5 more pounds by the end of the month but I don't know if it is going to happen. I am just going to keep on trudging along....

Hi Maggie! The party went very well (as it could with 12 girls!), DH had a crazy weekend (I told his mom to pay for the ticket and everything for him while he was gone- since they should take it out of the estate money and having him was saving them a ton of money instead of hiring a moving company!)! I just can't wait until things are about normal! With all the end of school things and vacation coming soon- it has been non stop!

Anyways- you could lose the 5 lbs in a few weeks- remember think positive! If need be the last week- maybe cut out a lot of the carbs and not eat them while you are on vacation (I know that is going to be a toughie for me- but my body could use it!). Remember to drink water- .55 ounces of your body weight, track your calories, make effort to workout at least 4 days a week (fat blasting cardio and strength training- good to burn fat and tone your body!). Also remeber if it seems like your body is hitting a plateau- eat more calories than what you are averaging- it will kind of kickstart your metabolism! Oh- have you tried the Nivea goodbye cellulite yet? I have been using it for a little while now and it seems to be working decently- some dimples had vanished and my bad areas don't seem as bad !
