Its D Day for both of us. Tomorrow Tadhg has to go back to school at 9:30am our time to collect his Leaving Certificate Results.

Depending on how he did and what points he accumulated as an exam score will depend on what college course he gets to do and more importantly where he gets to do it!!!

I really want him to go to College here in our City, we have all the courses and several universities and to be brutally honest Idont think he is fully up for independent living yet. I have no fears of him making the grade academically in his chosen subjects but even allowing for me being a fussy mom, he still makes some really dumb social decisions that make me despair sometimes. Maybe a year into College life he might "get it".

& Yes Im willing to let him go its not that I just want him to be ready to go

thaks for reading this and for your prayers for both of us

My brother just got to college today. I think he and Tadhg have some of the same learning problems. The college is 45 min away, and he's living on campus. My mom is having some of the same struggles as you are, and is hoping that being away from home maybe he'll "get it". Lots of hugs, and prayers, hang in there!

Good Luck!
I remember when I had to do this for GCSE's and A-Levels!

I don't know what types of problems that your son is having, but I do know that God knows what is best for him and He will make the way for him. My husband had learning disabilities when he was in school, but he just worked his way around them. Now this is more than 20 years ago, and he is now an instructor at our local technical school for high school students! He has come a long way, and Tadhg will come into his own. But we mom's have the hard part...LETTING GO!!! I will be praying that all will go well, and that everything will fall into place and God will send you a peace about everything. Take care!
