Hi - sorry I missed it too. I was in the middle of bedtime business with the kiddos. Let's see...
Diet trends that I tried and failed - I haven't really bought into any diet trends. I never had to think about my weight until I had children. I always exercised a lot and was a health-conscious vegetarian for 15 years. I gained weight because I ate too much during my pregnancies and I stopping working out and ate too much kid food for a few years. So when I decided I was tired of it, I knew I had to eat less and exercise consistently. I did do Weight Watchers after both pregnancies and got down to within 10 pounds of my pre-pg weight but couldn't get that last 10 off. Now that I watch my calories carefully I can see I was just eating too much food on WW to lose that last bit. By the way, I still have a bunch of the WW stuff like the little slide thingies that add up your food and exercise points. If any of you would like it, you can have it.

The daughter of a very close friend of ours just had gastric bypass (she is in her late 20s and has been very overweight her entire life) and she has already lost 100 pounds. She wants to lose 50 more. I haven't seen her, but I can't wait! She said she will have to have some skin removal when it is all said and done. She has her first boyfriend ever and she is really happy.

Infomercial - Shell you know I want a Gazelle! Those things are really fun. I covet my MIL's and I keep hoping that at 65 she is going to tell me she is too old for it and give it to me. I haven't ever actually bought anything from an infomercial. I do have lots of workout videos like the Firm and Tae Bo that I do at home but I just ordered them from Collage Video (I think that is what it is called - it is a great website that has every exercise dvd known to man and there are a bunch of reviews on them that you can read).

Yes! I exercise every morning 6 days a week from 6:30 to 7:30 because I am up and my dh loves to lounge in bed so nobody misses me. I always get up early.

I don't have a treadmill. I do have a very good stationary bike that I love and a big weight machine with a bench and all kinds of weights, a medicine ball, a Nordic Trac Ab thing that is impossibly hard - my dh uses it but I can't even do it - a big ab ball, etc. We have a little room that we made into an exercise room. For my birthday I am asking dh to get me a little flat screen tv to put on the wall in there. I use my mp3 player though and it is great. That is my favorite piece of exercise equipment by far, my mp3 player. It has changed my attitude about working out. We belong to a music subscription service so I can change my music as often as I want to. Other people post their workout playlists on there so I can look at their lists and add great songs that are really fast paced. It is great. I like to work out alone and the music is just a really nice addition to that.
