Does anyone know somebody that has had gastric bypass surgery? I do & I must say that the lady looks really great. She didn't look bad either, but she says that this has really helped her. What do you think of this procedure?

I have had a few friends use the apple cider and vinegar diet pills and swear by it.

My problem is, if these things are MEAL REPLACEMENT than the fix is ONLY temporary. Once you go off them, the weight and your habits come back

It's always best to think of this as a LIFESTYLE CHANGE because seriously, if your lifestyle was working for you, than your weight woudln't be an issue...right?

Okay the bad thing about apple cider is if you drink it on an empty stomach you will definitely be sitting on the pot for a while!

Have you seen the "big medicine" show on TLC? They cover a lot of those issues: surgery, lifestyle change, before and after, psychological effects of surgery (before and after), etc. It's pretty informative.

No I do not have cable. I think that gastric bypass can be good for some people when nothing else works for them. You have to be very careful what to eat & how much after you have this done otherwise you will be very sick.

NOw my dh knows someone who was extremely obese and he has had this procedure done & now this man is half the size that he used to be. It is very amazing that he did not have this done before. I know that my friends insurance of course didn't pay for it.
