Does anyone have the mirena IUD ? Went to the gyno. yesterday they are wanting me to have this implanted.If anyone has this and has really bad side effects please let me know

I have had one in for 17 months or so. No side effects other than a period gone MIA.

I had one for nearly 4 years and didnt have any problems at all. I loved it and ended up not having a period which was another plus. The only reason that I had it taken out was b/c we were trying to conceive number 3.

I have had mine for 7 months now, and just have a little spotting once a month, not even enough to be considered a period. Never had one problem. Not even with mood or weight.

I have had mine for 2 years and have never had a problem with it. I love it and would recommend it to anyone!

12 months in a week here. Best thing I ever did! Well maybe not the best, DH and kids beat it any day! No side effects except period MIA (which is a bonus).

I had one for almost 2 years and it was great! No side effects except for the no period thing which was a bonus (and perfectly safe according to my GYN). I had it removed so we could start trying for #2 but once that one is born I plan to get another one for good! I would (and already have) recommended it to everyone I know. I'm getting it put back in again instead of having my tubes tied. Less permanent and waaaay less painful! Also, according to the website, more effective than a tubal!! Pretty cool!!

Love it! I've had no problems and no period!

The best thing ever! I will never go back to the pill. I had no side effects at all except for no period and no complaining there!
