A treadmill! Though I got lucky and "borrowed" mine from my Dad b/c my parents weren't using it. But IMO, walking is the best exercise there is and if you don't have alot of room in the house (to walk around and back and forth in) this is a perfect solution...rainy days, kids napping, no sitter you name it!

Also an exercise ball (the inflatable kind) Multi purpose uses...you can do crunches, sit ups, use it for balance, work your legs, your core (just sitting here on the computer).

Otherwise, I don't think too many things are worth the investment...there's too much around the house you can use in place of machines (Oh and there is another topic )

I agree on the treadmill. I find it multi purposeful! (is that a word?). The eliptical is fine, but in my opinion, you can only do ONE thing; and do that one thing forward and backward!!! I like the treadmill in that I can either run or walk....and I can use inclines for resistance and have various work out programs to challenge myself. It's great in that respect. I also like that most of them fold up so they don't take up so much room.

for me having 5 and 10lb weights is nice. I have NO room for a treadmill Also I have hard wood floors so I also like my excercise mat.

Christy, Hope the boys are feeling better soon.

Thanks!

Do any of you use a stepper at the gym? Would you consider buying one? (if money weren't an option) Just curious

I liked doing step, so yes I would think about it if I had a good step video.

My questions exactly!

My WOB has plans tonight but said she'd try....so that was fine. However, there are others who actually voted for this and aren't here (and yes I know who they are!!).

I think either we'll do one chat a month from now on, or stick to day time/afternoon chats....agreed?
