My 3 yr old just found a bottle of pills hidden in the cushion of a chair in our home. I think that it might be lexapro b/c a family who was watching them yesterday is taking it (I believe). I guess what bothers me most is that the pills are in a screw top container that my son could easily have gotten into. I do not want to accuse anyone without being where they "more than likely came from".

These pills are TINY - probably 2-3 centimeters in length. White and oval in shape. NO, they are not aspirin.

Is anyone here familiar with the look/appearance of lexapro? Would this match their physical description?

Thanks for your help.

I found this info on the internet.

Lexapro comes in two types of tablets:
* Lexapro 10 mg film-coated tablets - oval, white, scored and marked with "E" and "L" on each side of the score on one side of the tablet
* Lexapro 20 mg film-coated tablets - oval, white, scored and marked with "E" and "N" on each side of the score on one side of the tablet

Are the tablets that you found marked like this?

Here is the link. Consumer Medicine Information

It could be an E and L but to tell the truth they are so little that it is hard for me to determine exactly what is imprinted on them.

Thanks for your help. My cheap internet wouldn't get me that info.....

Was the bottle not labelled? Usually prescription meds are in a labelled bottle that says what they are. That's really odd if they took them out and put them in another bottle. You might be able to take them to a pharmacy and have them identify them.
