I tried it but wasn't a huge fan. Mainly because it was BORING! I hated doing the exact same thing every day, plus I think exercise is more effective when you really switch it up. I tell everyone who wants to try to go ahead but don't get locked into a long contact. I only had a three month contact and was bored to death with it by the time that finished. The hours were also a problem at my location.

I went to Healthy Inspirations also, which I liked a bit better. It is also a circuit training system but you can adjust the tension yourself, they have a treadmill and some other equipment, and also offer aerobic type class using the circuit training.

My favorite is belonging to a real gym, with childcare, a pool, classes, equipment, etc. The most important thing is to just get moving!

I also was not a fan of the music - it was really hard to work out to the mellow Christian stuff that the owner claimed they were required to play. Sorry - I need some jammin music.

Mine also had so many old ladies sometimes - it took them 15 seconds to get off of the equipement, so you lost half of your time, and could never get a sweat going.

I quit when I found out that the founder of Curves donates millions each year to a vigilante group that focuses on bombing abortion clinics and shooting the doctors. A tad too weird for me.....

That is another reason that I do not like Curves. I don't support abortion- but, bombing abotrion clinics and shooting the Dr.s doesn't seem like a good thing to support either! I wasn't happy that Curves was involved with this crazy organization!

Weird! I just called my Curves here to get an idea on prices, you knnow to see if they had any specials going on. She WOULD NOT give me any prices, she said I had to make an appointment. I told her I didnt have time for an appointment when she could answer my guestion now in less than five minutes. She refused to tell me anything and kept asking when I would like to set up my appointment. Let's see.... never!
