Well I guess that's how I look at it anyway. I just feel like I can't do much right now as far as exercise. My daughter is about 4 1/2 months old, and my husband is gone for work 12-13 hours (part of that is the drive though. Work is, half an hour to 40 minutes away). So, he doesn't get home until 6pm. So, I'm home with my daughter all day. I just feel like I don't have time to exercise. I'd get up to go for a jog or walk before my husband wakes up, and just be back before he has to go to work but... I'd have to get up at like 4:30am. Which... is about when I used to get up for my job but... bleh! I don't want to get up that early. Especially since I usually go to bed around the time my husband does which is... between 10-11.
And after that... we eat dinner right around the time my husband gets home. And after that... I don't know. By that time at night... sometimes I'm just tired and grumpy I guess, so the last thing I want to do is try jogging or something. We don't have any exercise equipment either. Otherwise I could just do that sometime during the day. I have one set of DVDs for exercise, I kind of want to get another, and when we move I'll try doing that but... *sigh*

How do you find the time??

(oh, and I'm not completely hopeless. The last week or so I've actually kind of walked regularly. Only about 30 minute walks but it's a start)

Start slow, maybe some walks with the baby in the stroller? Gets you out usually makes baby happy and you will both benefit from fresh air

I can only walk with her after my husband gets home though. I mean I suppose that'd be better than try to start with some short jogs but... it's way too hot to walk with her during the day.

I feel ya girl. My hubby leaves for work at 4am and usually doesn't get home until around 6pm and I was stuck at home all day as well but once my boys got older I begged my husband to let me get a gym membership and I lug them up there everyday. It gives me some much needed time to myself and the boys get to interact with other children..it's a win/win.

If getting out of the house isn't an option I would suggest a workout video. When I was stuck at home with the boys I worked out to Power 90 which you can get on beachbody.com. I would pop that in when I could get them down for a nap and if I didn't finish it at least I made the effort and that made me feel good.

I hope this helps!

Well friend, I've lost 40 lbs since May with diet and exercise. But I struggle with a similar problem. My favorite thing is to find excuses not to exercise: I'll go tomorrow or I'm hungry now (can't exercise right after eating) or it's dark outside or I had a stressful day or I don't have time today. For me, I have trouble working out inside the house.
