I'm thinking of getting a piece of exercise equipment, but I'm not sure what to get. What is your favorite one and do you know about what it cost you?

I like the treadmill and I like the rowing machine

We've had an elliptical trainer (Vision Fitness) for about 4 1/2 years and I love it. If you do decide to go the elliptical route though, do your research carefully and buy the best machine you can for your money. Ours cost $1000 brand new (it was actually a low end model too) and we have had no problems with it until recently. The part we need (the magnetic brake) is covered under warranty but the labor and service call are not. It will cost us about $175 to get it fixed, but it is well worth it considering the cost of the machine and how often we use it.
