Since I'm diabetic, I am on the 'get one' list and so are the folks that live with me,, I 'assume' that will be the same this year as well.

I'm debating. I know people say you don't get sick with them but we always do after we get them. The only reason I'm debating is because my son is in kinder and my daughter is in a mother's day out program. Parents like to take their kids even when they are sick so I have to do all I can to protect.

We all will be getting them. DH has a problem with low platets and virus/flu bugs make it worse. DH and I get ours through work for free and the kids get theirs through the public health dept for free.

I actually am not a big proponent of flu shots unless they're for high risk people. I have seen some really bad reactions to flu shots, so I wouldn't take one unless I really needed to. Last year is the first year I took one because my internist insisted I take one due to my myriad of chronic illnesses. But I won't be getting one for my kids.

nope here but when dd starts to go to preshcool then yes we will be getting them. Right now we aren't around much as far as going out.. we tend to stay in to try to save. We go out but just to relitives and dd is the only child and since most carriers are children it really isn't a need.

We always get them, but they don't offer them here until sometime in October, so I need to call and find out when we can go. DD3 has asthma and with me working in a preschool I want to make sure I don't bring naything home to anyone!

I always got one before because I worked at Walmart and my husband gets one paid for at work when the supply is ok. I just don't know. Last year when Bob got one he was miserable the whole day, just laid on my and cuddled and periodically wept throughout the day. I don't want to go through that again. James had bronchitis last year when he was only a few months old.

This year, I don't work and they don't go to daycare, so I guess I'll as the doctor what he thinks. I won't be getting one because I don't have insurance, but the boys and Kevin have insurance so we'll just see what the doc says.

I can get one for free at work, so I normally get one. My kids have gotten them, I think, twice, but I don't think I will let them get shots this year.

Last year, I got a shot, they didn't, I got the flu really bad twice and they were fine.
