I'll tell you this much....something unseen grabs me, and I will be in need of a padded room!

I called the police at about 11:30 one night. I heard something glass-sounding make a bumping sound...like someone knocked into a table with a glass vase on it and made it rattle...anyway, I'm always hearing sounds that I get up to check out, but this one made me get the phone. Matt got our "protection" while I dialed the police. I told them that we had someone in our house and that my husband was armed. They kept me on the line until the officers responded. We had 3 patrol cars at our home, and all these cops checked out our property outside and in. NOTHING. I was so embarrassed, but I KNOW I heard SOMETHING.

Apparently, I went to one of the most haunted places there, Pirates Cove restaurant, and nothing was out of the ordinary.

While I think it is possible, I think Ghosthunters and a few others are very good at pointing out how and why most of the "stories" are just that "stories". JMO

True. I love that show and can barely stand to watch some of the other "hunters" on other channels because they go on the assumption that there is something but edit so much that we have no idea what is real or fake. GH, on the other hand, presents all the info in a neutral manner and try to prove it to be false. It takes something pretty profound for them to claim a haunting or activity.

I absolutely, totally believe in ghosts, spirits, hauntings, you name it. My kids believe as well, but not in a scary way. Ghosts are just a matter of fact occurence in our family. It's no big deal for my 16 year old when he was 5 to talk to and see spirits and its no big deal for my 9 year old to love everything to do with ghosts and hauntings. My whole family, including my MIL are all this way. Family get togethers can very easily include the spirit of my mamaw who died 8 years ago.

I believe in Ghosts too, though I've never seen one or expierenced one. I do know that my father's spirit still walks around my mother's house and her property, though I've never seen him. My mother's boyfriend can see him all the time, none of us have. I think that he either has 'the gift' OR my father knows how much it would freak us out to see him so he doesn't show himself to us. It is a comforting feeling though to know he is still around and watching over us.

OH I Love the Ghosthunters show! I'd love to meet those guys too. Warwick RI is only a half hour from me, and I go there often for the shopping. Next time I'm there I"m gonna look for the TAPS building! I can't STAND that other show on the Travel channel, that women just drives me insane.

I also have stayed at a hotel and had quite an experience. Last summer we went on vacation and were looking for a hotel/motel around where we were staying but nothing was vacant. It started getting dark because we had spent a really long time trying to find something so we asked the clerk to please recommend anything. She did and she called up a place that she called "right down the street from here" and "has only one room left." We were thrilled and couldn't wait to arrive.

Well, this place was NOT down the street. It was a really long curvy road and there were no street lights around. We kept going higher and higher, like we were on a mountain or something, hard to tell by the darkness. When we arrive it looked like a mansion. The only thing was, there was one teeny tiny light on when we pulled up and everything around was dark and quiet. Very weird since we were told they were almost sold out.

Once inside there was a woman at the desk who had a spotlight over her head. There was NOBODY in the place. We asked to see the room before we paid, thank God. She was clearly puzzled when we asked to do so. Once in the room the bed was creaky. I sat on it and we knew we wanted out.

We told her we're sorry we won't be taking a room, thank you. She said to us, aw, too bad. Would you like to see the pool? It's in the basement We got out of there FAST.

We drove about one hour away to finally find a nice hotel on the way back towards home.
The really freaky thing is, while I was sleeping in the middle of the night I woke up. Like what chopey wrote, I said to my daughter, go back to bed. I had my eyes closed and I could here footprints right near my side of the bed. I said it again and put on the light right beside me. When I did that I looked over and my daughter was in the next bed sound asleep I panicked and woke my husband up. I couldn't believe it!! I don't know if "it" followed us or we just happened to get the jackpot, two really strange occurrences in one night. Needless to say I didn't get any sleep. My dh, however, slept fine
We tell this story to our friends and they can't believe it. WE can't believe it. although we kind of laugh about it now. That is something I NEVER want to experience again.

I believe they exist and swear I saw one before by my bed, I opened my eyes from sleep and there he was, I jumped right onto DH next to me and scared him he didn't know what I was doing But how or why they exist I am not sure.
