I am curious to know what your favorite bible verse is and why.
Mine is 2 Corinthians 12:9 My grace is sufficent for you, my strength is made perfect in your weakness. This verse just reminds me that no matter what I am dealing with God will always be there for me and to depend on him when things get tough. For I am weak and he is strong.

My favorite verse is 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
This is what I try to remember when I am angry at dh. This verse was read during our wedding. It has been my favorite since I was about 14 and my dad and step-mom got divorced. I truly believe that mine and dh love will always perservere.

I apparently know lots but don't know what verses they are. I don't "study" the bible. I would actually like to learn verses.

Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads and i will give you rest. Take my yoke and put it on you and learn from me, because i am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest.
Proverbs 31:30
Charm is deceptive and beauty disappears, but a woman who honors the Lord should be praised.

Jodie, that verse always reminds me of that song that starts out "Come to me, all who are weary, and I will give you rest...... Now I gotta figure out who sings it, and buy the cd.
Still trying to figure out what my favorite verse is. You gals have picked some excellent ones.

One of my favorites is Phillipians 4:6,7:
6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Genesis 50:20 Even though you meant harm to me, God meant it for good, to achieve his present end, the survival of many people.
