I ran in a 5k race on Saturday. My time was 26.19 and I got third place in my age group!! I didn't think I would place since the age group was 10 year span instead of just 5, so I was pretty happy with it.
It was Corporate Challenge race too. We had teams of 3 women and 3 men representing our company. The women's team came in 2nd place, 1.02 minutes behind 1st place.. The mens team was 2nd also, 3.00 minutes behind 1st place.

Good Job!!!! It is soooo hard to place in those runs! Way to go!
I am a runner myself and have never placed in any race!
It all depends on who shows up to race.. you know? I run a race every year, three years ago, I got 2nd place in my age group, I haven't been able to place since then and my times haven't changed alot.
Do you run 5k's?
I am planning on running a 1/2 marathon in about 2-1/2 weeks... I have to get a long run in sometime before then and I'll be good to go.
