I have worked hard since March to get off almost 40 pds and I have been stressing over the fact that all the big holiday's are right around the corner. Halloween, Thanksgiving, New Years, Valentine's and Easter!
I am worried about putting weight back on. I have very little self control. I have to keep motivated and not give into temptation.
I would like to get some feedback and ideas on how to deal with this issue. How do I make it through all the candy, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pies and chocolate.
Help!

One tip that I have heard to do is drink a big glass of water prior to going to a party! it will make you feel full!!!

My only suggestion would be to try to control your portions.

Plan ahead if you know that you are having a big party or event then plan for it.
Have a piece of fruit for breakfast and bowl of soup or a salad for lunch.

At a holiday dinner fill you plate up once and refrain from seconds

Eat slowly

Bring something you know is healthy. I will bring a cheese cake to things. yes loads of calories but people don't know that I use splenda for baking, fat free cream cheese and sour cream and the low fat gram cracker crust.

make yourself rules this month I am attepting no candy. That doesn't mean I will refrain from all deserts and sweat just I am not making my self sick on recese or candy corn this year.

I don't have self control either. Don't deprive yourself, use portion control. Drink lots of water.
