Ok I need some new ideas for getting more active the fall and winter weather has arrived and my desire to go out and walk has departed. I don't have a gym membership and it is too spendy with the day care costs. So what other things do you do to get more activity in.

I know what you mean! I went walking tonight and I nearly froze my butt off! Do you have a mall nearby?

Good to see you are still walking even if it is cold Kim!!!

Some ideas for wet, rainy or cold weather:

DO stairs IN YOUR HOUSE
Or get a pilates ball and see if you can find a video to go along with it. Pilates balls can be a complete body work out: shoulders, abs, arms, legs, butt, etc. GREAT tool to have.
Turn up the music and have a dance party with the kids!
Turn up the music and DUST, VACUME, etc. Extra calories burned while doing household chores are nothing to laugh about ~ it does help!
Walk the mall if you can. Take the kids: stroller walks or do treasure hunts for your older children (have them find four red triangular things, 2 green circular things, etc ~ just to keep them interested)
Pilates in front of the TV
