I became a member here a little over a year ago. It started out as just something to "keep me busy" during the day, because I was too afraid to go out and meet "real people". Then Kim was looking for Moderators, and I volunteered. So it became even a bigger part of my day.

Because of this board, I got enough courage to go out and join a Mom's Club and yes meet "real people". I have grown to treasure these new friends in my life, and the playgroups and Mom's Night Outs. I am having a BIG party at my house tomorrow night. A year ago, I would not have guessed that I would be hosting a party with new friends!! (We have only lived in this area for two years now)

I would like to take this time to say Thank You and Merry Christmas to my closest friends here, I wish I could give you all a BIG HUG in person, but you will have to settle for a cyber hug.



I truly have learned so much from all of you, and I would love to mention a few of you by name...but I know I would leave someone out (not intentionally though).

Stacey - what a great tribute to friendship. I LOVE this forum group of wonderful scrappers gals. I can relate to the problem of "real life" friends. Awww, very sweet! I'm so glad you have made new friends in real life and how exciting that you got to meet some online ones too in person! Sounds like you have come a long way. Not many moms groups out here in the sticks, especially with older kids, but you've already heard my story of developing a friendship with a coworker when i normally keep to myself. I'm happy to report she has called me a few times since she left our Post Office, she even called me on my first day on the new route to tell me she was thinking about me.
