It seems as though I am tired throughout most of the day. At around 7 p.m., I am so tired that I could go to bed, and sometimes I end up on the couch sleeping while the kids are busy.
I can't stand being so tired all the time.

I tried taking vitamins, and they help a little with energy, but I can sleep from 8 at night until 7 the next day....

Also, when I get up, I am still tired!!

I will see my doctor next month and I can't wait. My friends all joke about me being tired all the time, but now I am starting to worry.....

anybody ever had this same problem?? Not looking for medical advice, as I will soon see my dr., but until then I'm wondering.

PS., I don't exercise but am busy around the house., and I'm not overweight..just right for my height.

What is your diet like? I think that has a big impact on you feel overall...

Exercise might help...even if it's just walking a little bit each day. You might feel more tired at first but after a few days, you might have more energy. That's how it works for me, and obviously, not everyone is the same.

My mother has always been exhausted. I remember as a child, she would be in bed by 8PM...it's just the way she was my whole life. She is in her 70's now and complains about being tired all the time (like it's a new thing) and my sisters and I tease her a bit and tell her - you have always been tired! This isn't anything new! Her doctor told her to try to exercise. He told her to walk three times a week, but she has no interest in that. I'm a little frustrated with her because she won't even try something as simple as that! It might have a huge impact on her quality of life.

Two things came to mind.

You are getting TOO much sleep and You feel Groggy all day because of it.

You are Iron deficient anemic.

I am Severely Iron Defecient , and I Get Dead , hit with a Ton of bricks Kind Of tired, when it gets Bad.

I take alot of iron , but it still drops. My body doesen't absorb it properly. I have to Be sure to get lots of Vitaman C too.

thank you so much, ladies....

I was thinking about starting an exercise program for the new year. I do get exercise, I just don't have a routine, so it's not consistent. I will try anything not to feel this way, so I will try that. I just can't have my kids at home and me sleeping...that's just awful and not the way I want them to think of me.

taylyn, you could also be right about the iron...I'll see what my dr. says about that. Maybe there is some food that I can eat to absorb it that's full of iron.....I'll have to look into that.

Thank you for responding....makes me feel a little better knowing maybe I can do something to help myself.

I forgot about your tyroid!

I am not sure if its Overactive or underactive thyroid , but one of them makes you ungodly tired.
I Know a Woman who had this Problem and She was basically a Walking Zombie.

Good Luck with your Docter!

Hopefully it'll be something simple and then you will feel a World of difference , once you take course of Recovory!

Keep us posted!

My Grandmother was recently diagnosed with thyroid issue as well. She was exausted all day. Hers was so bad that her heart rate would bottom out as well. Once they figured it out and she got on her thyroid medication she was like her old self again. Which BTW at 76 is almost more energy than me! Hope you figure out whats going on!

This sounds like my DH. He lugs shingles and siding all day for a living. He comes home and by 7 he is on the couch tilted back and asleep. He finally gets up about 2 or 3 and comes back to bed. He gets up about 6 for work and says he is still exhausted. He says it's his age, he's 48. I use to tease him about his age because he's 11 yrs older than me. I haven't been lately because he is so tired all the time. Do men get thyroid problems or could it be something else?
