This is kind of a spin off of a thread most commonly seen in the Simple Living Forum as "simple pleasures", however not all of us frequent that forum so maybe by having something like it here, we can put a completely different spin on the meaning of it!

What personal victories did you overcome today? What feel good moments happenned to you? Who made you smile and why?

Mine was when I gave my dh his birthday present. It was a collage of pictures of the two of us over the years. He looked at it and said "aren't I the luckiest guy alive?". Clearly he was sleep deprived and talking jibberish, as he was just getting off a midwatch on base, but I took it anyway!!!

This may sound like something really simple, but I enjoyed baking with my 4 yo ds this morning. We made eggs for breakfast, and then cookies not too long after that. He REALLY enjoys anything to do with cooking, and it's one activity that connects us both.

We did that yesterday too. It was dh's birthday so the kids and I made and then decorated a cake. Let's just say the kitchen needed to be thoroughly cleaned after that! But the kids had a great time!
