It's the end of another year. Hard to believe, if you ask me. So much has happenned this year, when you sit and think back on it. So many little things that helped build our character and made us smile.
Let's look back on the year and shares some of our feel good moments. List as many as you want. Let's celebrate the year with happiness and fond memories!
I will go first:
1) my grandfather took sick a few months back and fought like everything to get healthy again. He's 86 years old and still a fighter! He's tough as nails. I am so not ready for the day it's time to say goodbye to him so I'm glad I have some time left with him.
2) My dh got his navy pilots' wings. At the ceremony I got to pin them on him. After the ceremony he bought me a beautiful necklace with gold wings on it and told me I earned my wings too! He thanked me for my support and told me he was going all of this to make a better life for us. (this was infront of his entire family)
3) My mom and I have bridged some gaps in our relationship more this year than any other. Part of that comes with maturity and part of that comes with being a mom myself. I can see why she did the things she did when I was a kid. Didn't understand it at the time, but do now. It's been a huge step in our relationship.
4) I found a MOMS Club here that has given me a great opportunity to meet people and do things in this new city. I am the membership VP which I love. I also initiated a breakfast club from this club and we meet every Saturday. It's amazing what good food and good friends can do to a spirit!
5) I got to meet a BUNCH of Mommysavers this summer as I travelled across the country. It was great to finally put a face to a name. Since then our relationships have even grown stronger which makes coming here that much better!

Hmmm interesting... Off the top of my head...
I realized some things about myself that have made me stronger. (I used to let my SILs get the best of me, but you know what I came to realize? They and their opinions of me truly don't matter in my day to day life. By over analyzing them and thinking about every little thing I realized I was giving someone a power they didn't deserve, and I took it back, I am adopting my DH attitude of "Who cares" and it is EXTREMELY freeing!) ).
I made some good new friends...even though we "knew" each other on this message board after meeting Leighann in person and chatting with her (much) more we are definitely what I would call friends and not acquaintances. Same goes for Christy, we have 'known' each other for years but this year developed a real friendship.
I have a cousin 9 months younger than me and we were always close until we went our seperate ways in our late teens. She and her family moved here to NC and we have re-kindled our relationship and I feel she is again the sister I never had, and Rob and I are her youngest DS (5 1/2 months ) Godparents so I gained that relationship this year as well.
I have watched my DS really grow into his own 'person' He started school this year and watching him grow is amazing. I experienced the same thing with Kels, don't get me wrong, but he is my youngest and there is just something about watching your children blossom into their own personality and i can't help but be proud of the people they are becoming and know that I am molding 2 wonderful human beings!

Let's see...
First and foremost ... Logan was born! He's been the addition to the family that we needed!
We moved into our "first" house!
My husband left his old job and has taken a new and exciting step in his career.
I'm able to be at home full time with our kids without having other peoples' kids living with us. Let's hope we can continue making that one work!
Liliana started preschool!
I came on to MommySavers and "met" so many new and exciting people!
My garden was a success ... overall!

1.) I am finally feeling healthy again after a long search and many misdiagnoses. I am pain-free most of the time now. What a difference it makes!
2.) DS#1 earned his black belt!
3.) DH quit smoking!
4.) DS#3 caught a pop-fly at T-Ball and everyone cheered for him!
5.) DS#2 won his first fishing tournament and received a trophy.
6.) Dad's test results came back cancer-free! He is colo-rectal cancer survivor.
7.) My two oldest boys attended church camp (without even knowing anyone else there!) for the first time this year. It was the same camp I attended as a child.
8.) The three boys completed a total of 31 4H and Future 4H projects this year and got lots of blue ribbons and 4 Grand Champions!
9.) We enjoyed some wonderful family time on vacations and mini-trips to fishing tournaments, historical reenactments and sight-seeing.
It's been a great year!

My third child, second son Nolan was born.
I have grown to trust God more this past year and been able to be a SAHM.
I have grown to be a better person.
I am finally realizing and accepting that I don't have to make money to give myself worth.
I have many frugel talents that I finally was forced to tapp into. I have enjoyed it though and am thankful to God for giving me strength and talents to get through this past year.
My grandma had colon cancer but is free of it now and letting God heal her.
I hope to grow even more this year and improve more in every way possible.
I am starting to get excited over what God puts in my path be it good or bad because the bad just makes you stronger and smarter

The biggest smile this year was taking the kids to Disney World it truly was an awesome vacation and I got a chance to drive thru and meet Shell (2bearsmom) and she has become a very good friend in 2007, she is so much fun to be friends with. I know we will get to visit again!
A sort of shelfish happiness our families started taking the kids for overnight here and there. This helped us for some much needed alone time and to somewhat recharge our marriage. We celbrated our 15th wedding anniversary this past June.
My friends and family both had healthy years always a nice thing.
We paid our car off this year!
I also got to meet Christy (Doozer) and (Amy) MegNAbbysMom who also have become good friends of mine!
I got more involved with my church even beccoming a Sunday School Teacher never ever would of thought that. I like it!
I know there is so much more I am leaving out but all in all it was a good year.

Where do I even begin? 2007 was a roller coaster ride for me. I hit the highest highs, the lowest of lows. Looking back, I can say that friends, family and faith get you through the hard times. Even though I almost lost my mom in July (she was on life support nearly 2 weeks), I got an interesting perspective on faith and confirmed once again how friends and family matter more than anything in the world. I really feel like that experience (among others) has helped me grow as a person. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?
Mommysavers has seen some growing pains, but my vision for its continued success has helped me get through those rough times as well. I, too, have been extremely fortunate to have met some special Mommysavers members. The women here are GOLD. I feel truly blessed.
