I was just wondering, out of all of you who have had breast reduction surgery....who is satisified with the new size they are? Do you wish you would have gone smaller or stayed a bit bigger? I'm having surgery on the 17th of Jan. and am a bit nervous about choosing the right size. I want to take enough off to relieve the pressure on my back and ribs (and of course to be able to wear some styles that I can't wear now ) but I don't want to be to small and regret it, to look out of proportion...KWIM? If you don't mind saying...what size were you before and what size are you now? Thanks.

Oh, by the way, I am 5"4, 162 pounds (hoping to lose some weight in the new year) and am a size 36DD.

I don't have details, but my sister has been very happy with hers. The doctor does help in choosing a size that will not look out of proportion for you.

I had one 18 years ago. It was the best decision I ever made. I went from a ridiculous size (I couldn't buy bras off the shelf, I had to have them special ordered and I honestly forget the actual size but it was like an hh or somthing to that effect). Anyway, I went to a C and am currently a DD. I have been extremely happy. If you have any questions, you can feel free to email me.

My sister had this done about 4 years ago and says that it was one of the best things she has ever done. She was a 44-DDD and went down to a C.
She isn't a "thin" girl. She probaby weighs about 170 and is 5'7" and I think she looks great with the size she went down to. I think a lot of that comes with her posture. She can now carry herself properly without being so top heavy. KWIM?

I had one done 7 yrs ago. I was a G cup and now I'm a 40C. I am thrilled with the results you can hardly see the scars, and I have more sensation than ever in my nipples. I chose a C because I felt it was still on the large size but able to withstand gravity over the years. You may PM me if you want more info.

I had a college roommate that one. She had some insane size -- I didn't even know they came in that size and she had to special order her bras. She loved the results. She still was bigger than me and I'm not flat chested but I know it helped her back as well as her self imagine.

We were sitting outside eating one day (last day of school) and I heard the two guys behind me talking about her chest and I looked over and saw that her shirt was zipped down pretty low. Being me and thinking she didn't want to expose that much, I whispered over to her to zip it up a bit as the two guys behind us were talking about her. She unzipped down further -- did I mention my former roommate was a bit of a tramp!

I have been thinking about doing this also, I'm only a 34DD but would like to be a B!! I consider them a 34 long after nursing. My excuses are; it hurts when my chest hits the water when I'm water skiing, my back hurts, always need to wear a bra or I'm not comfortable and it is hard to find a swimsuit that fits!!

How long are you sore afterwards??

My mom wants to do this. She had planned on losing more weight to get to her goal, and having it done this coming summer, but I think her spell in the hospital has achieved that so far - nothing like not eating for 10 days! She is something like a 38DDD or something?

I'm debating it. I "grew" exponentially when I became pregnant, and I'm not looking forward to when my milk comes in. I was a 36D, now am a 36G, and I cannot find a comfortable bra - nursing or otherwise. Mom's didn't go down much after she had us kids...if I end up in that boat, I will definately get them put back down to a D again.

I am 5'10" and about 160-170 pre-preg weight. The D's don't bother me, but the G's are definately NOT making me happy - they even intimidate DH!

I'm trying to remember with my roommate -- it wasn't horrible, I know. She missed a few days of school and then she had to wear a tight fitting sports bra for a few weeks. Like I said she totally thought it was worth it.

I'm hoping to get one done someday...if we ever get health insurance again. I wear a DDD, but know that it's the incorrect size. I'm just too embarassed to be measured for the correct size AND I'm sure I'll have to special order them and I don't want that either. I have absolutely terrible back pain, pressure on my ribcage and permanent indents in my shoulders from my bra straps. There are other "fun" things that go along with huge boobs, too, and they're very uncomfortable. I've done a lot of research on reductions and have found VERY FEW women who regretted having it done.
