We have been married for 12 years and 2 weeks ago was the first time my DH has EVER gone to church with us..then he went again last week, and is talking about continuing to go! I am so so thankful and know that Jesus for sure has a hand in this newest development!

Yay! I know exactly how you feel! My DH just started attending regularly with us a few months ago. One Sunday, out of the blue, he wanted to go with us and has been every Sunday since! I still don't know what sparked the change, but, I know that God had a hand it! I think that it makes our family so much closer to attend services together. I hope you experience the same feeling! Best wishes!

thanks! The girls are so so happy that daddy is going with us now and I think it has brought us closer already. He said he really liked the way it felt for all of us to walk into church together as a family.

My dh was the same way. I was attending church by myself for the longest time. Then when I was pregnant with ds #1 I told him that when it came time to baptise the baby it would be in my faith. He agreed. He started coming to church. It was all foreign to him because he only grew up in one faith and being exposed to only that faith. Anything outside of it was strange. It took awhile but I think he's, no I know he's more comfortable now at the church we go to on a regular basis. He has even offered to help out with some church projects etc.

I am really happy for you. My dad never used to go to church - he used to go when no one was there and prayed for a few minutes and came out - he thought people came to "show off" to church. I always felt bad as a kid when all kids' parents came. However, I am thankful to my mom for dragging us to church every Sunday - I wonder if I will do that if I were in her position- thankfully DH makes sure we go every week - including Sunday School.

I go around saying, " A family which prays together, stays together". May our Loving Lord bless your family abundantly in this New Year!

That is so awesome! You must be so Happy!! Luckily my dh has always gone with me. But, when I was a child going to church my Dad never went and my Mom rarely went. My grandparents took us. I would have been on cloud 9 if my parents would have come with me. Besides the fact I probably would have enjoyed going more back then. I'm so happy for your family!

That is so awesome. My husband rarely came with me. Until one day my car died, and his car was a stick shift. He knew I loved going to church, so he drove me. I said a special prayer during service, and someone he knew from school asked him to play in the band. That was at least 4 years ago, and we have been going together ever since.
