So I feel a little weird talking about this but I really need advice. I get bloody noses frequently, somedays I get them up to 3 times. When i was little my mother took me to a ears nose and throat doctor about it and he said he could burn the blood vessel up my nose i think its called "caterize" it. and that would maybe stop the bloody noses. But My mom didn't want to spend the money. Plus my bloody noses weren't as frequent as they have been the last year or so and I'm getting them every day and my son gets them a little bit too. I have a 20 gallon humidifier in my living room, a small humidifier in my kitchen and bedroom because thats what i was told would help but nothing is helping. Anyone have any suggestions on how to prevent bloody noses or how to stop them fast? somedays I can go through a whole box of tissues. ya no joke! I hate it so much!!!

Well I'm guessing the humidifiers are because some bloody noses are when I think the inside of your nose is too dry.
I don't really know to be honest. I don't think I've ever had one.

And I'd ask if you think you stay hydrated enough because when my husband gets dehydrated he gets bloody noses. But if you're having them that frequently and have had them your whole life really... I doubt you've been dehydrated the whole time.

Well I hope something starts to change with it though. It certainly doesn't sound fun. :- /

You are going to think this is a stupid idea!!!!!!!!! But it works. I have used it on myself and others I have worked with.
Take a piece from a brown paper sack. I usually use the lunch sacks you can buy in the grocery store. Tear a piece to put under your upper lip. It stops the bleeding immediately.
Once I had to use part of a brown paper towel when I was at work and it did the same thing. I use vaseline in my nose. My nose stays to dry no matter what I do. I know it may be TMI, but you can use a Q-tip to get the vaseline up your nostrils. There is a product on the market that is a gel and it is to put moisture in your nose. It is expensive.
I got a free sample and tried it, but vaseline is cheaper. Don't be afraid to try it.

I used to get bloody noses all the time growing up. The way to stop them quickly for me was to take my index finger and place it under my upper lip and apply pressure going upwards.
