Have you ever considered (or had - that you care to say so) plastic surgery? I really want a tummy tuck. After 3 large babies who were all delivered c-section, I have this lovely "pear" shape of excess skin on my stomach. I think it is at the point now where it will not go down anymore. And I think I would do breast implements too (lucky me I have lost at least 4 inches from my boobs since losing 31lbs) - they are next to nothing now!
I met with a plastic surgeon last May and really liked her. She gave me a ton of papers to read and then said she always does a second consultation. Only after the second consultation will she allow you to schedule the surgery. The only thing holding me back now is money. Is it selfish to want to spend $$ on my body? Versus the cost of low self-esteem, the super amount of motivation I should feel right now for being in the best shape of my life?
I wish there was an easy answer.

You are worth it ! I dont know that I would ever go through with it but I was just talking to one of my really good friend that if I could have plastic surgery it would be a breast lift! I am happy enough with what god gave me but they just ain't what they used be before I had kids!

There are some situations where you lose weight and you're still left with that "skin" which sounds just like what you're describing, and no amount of exercise will get rid of it.....You are absolutly worth the cost of fixing that...imagine what it will do for your self esteem

I'm all for a tummy tuck!

I don't think you are being selfish at all! I have breast implants. I am a very small framed person (5'4, 110 lbs) and I wasn't blessed with any breasts (literally-very flat chested). I just got the implants in August of 2007 and I have never felt better about myself! I feel like a woman now, where as before I felt like I looked like a preteen. I honestly wish I had gotten them sooner. The surgery was worth the money!

I got breast implants last June. I love them! I am 5'6" and 120 pounds and I had absolutely NO boobs. It has bugged me since I was 12! I work hard on my body and I take really good care of myself, and it was the one thing I couldn't do a darn thing about. So I went for it and I love them. Mine are very tasteful (not big!) and they look fantastic. If you can afford it, I say go for it.

Word of warning, though - it hurts!!! Be prepared to be sore for a good month after the surgery.

No way- it's not selfish to want to spend money on yourself. You sacrificed your body to give life to 3 children and now you deserve to do something for yourself. As soon as I'm sure I'm done having kids, I'm definitely getting a tummy tuck and a boob job!

I would love to have plastic surgery done on me- love a tummy tuck, I don't know about brest implants- I have smaller ones since I lost weight- but they really could use a lift!

Seriously- if you have the money for it- I would think about another consultation.

That is what I'm afraid of -- going to have to be without exercise for a while while recovering - I'm too addicted right now!

I had a breast reduction 17 years ago. It was the best thing I ever did. I was fortunate that it was covered by insurance as there is no way I could have afforded it otherwise.
