We must have the crappiest medical insurance in the world. Co-pays are $30 and prescriptions are a %, half of which are not even covered. Dh and both kids went to the doc this week and I had to pick up 7 prescriptions, I spent over $200 this week on medical. It's insane. I guess it's better than not having any but geesh, how do people do it, this was a one time thing. Usually it's only $100 for the month for mine and my dd's prescriptions. I guess we won't be eating out for a few weeks. I've looked into a vasectomy for dh (because my pills are not covered and cost $35 a month) but insurance won't cover it because it's elective. Oh, so they would rather I have more children? That's cheaper.... I'm so frusterated right now! My dh works so hard for us and it's so expensive to go to the doctor. I had great insurance when I was teaching, but now that I'm a SAHM we're on dh's. Yuck! Anyone have any ideas?? (Besides me going back to work?? I love being a SAHM!)

I know lots who could commiserate, like me! But there are others who have it worse. Walgreens has some kind of discount club now for prescriptions. I asked them about it, and was assured that I'm better off using my insurance, but you could look into it, too. Also, Target and Walmart are competing with the $4 prescriptions. It doesn't help me, though. Do comparison shopping before filling.
