Since we have had children we have made it a habit to say our prayers before bed when I tuck him in at night. He has it memorised now. We also say grace at dinner. But not a specific prayer I lead and just a random prayer. Does anyone know any short mealtime prayers for children?

We add to that one. We say the second verse of "By His hand, we all are fed, Thank you Lord for our daily bread" and then "Amen". Even my two year old can say this...she mumbles a few times through it but her heart is all the way in it!

We sing the "Johnny Appleseed" prayer:

Oh the Lord is good to me and so I thank the Lord for giving me the things I need. The sun and the rain and the appleseed. Oh the Lord is good to me. Amen, Amen, Amen Amen Amen. Aaaaaaaaaaa-men!

Or we say:
Come Lord Jesus, be our guest. Let this food to us be blessed. Amen.
