Are belive they are made "one" in that Christ's will is the same as the Father's will and they work towards the same goal(? end?) Kinda like my husband and I are one because we are unified on everything(well almost!) but we are still to seperate people. Anyway, that's my belief.

This is what I always thought too. It always pained me to think that God could send his son and let him go through such a terrible ordeal. It was my belief that he did this so that we could then go to heaven because Jesus died for our sins and if he didn't that wouldn't have been possible. But, in the back of my mind, I always wondered why couldn't we if we believed in God himself. I understand that Jesus was sent to spread the word of God and through that knowlege we are given entrance to heaven. I can also understand why Muslems believe that Jesus was a profet, here to spread the word.
It would take some of the "pain" I feel about Jesus suffering on the cross to know that God wouldn't allow this to happen to his son intentionally, but allowed it to himself, from the idea that God, the son, and the holy spirit are all the same. I have a very soft heart and I tend to personfiy things, so to think of a father with the ability to save his son from with the wave of his hand and not doing it, even though it would be for the betterment of mankind, bothers me. (I also have issue with the lambs blood on the doors too, but that's another story...)
Anyway, thank you so much for clarifying the view that they are one in them same. More to ponder....
