Sure, we all love music.
Yes, we usually have a couple of favorite songs.
What's your favorite excerpt or the chorus of any lyrics you've heard thus far?

This is mine:

"Born stubborn me, will always be, before you count 123...I will grow my own private branch, of this tree, you gardener you, discipliner domestically....I can obey all of your rules and still be me"

Bjork - Unison.

Dh and I are HUGE Bjork fans, we had always dreamed of seeing her in concert and finally did. This song is amazing!

From U2's song "Grace"
I think it is a beautiful description of the "everywoman"

Grace, she carries a world on her hips
No champagne flute for her lips
No twirls or skips between her fingertips
She carries a pearl in perfect condition

What once was hurt
What once was friction
What left a mark
No longer stings
Because Grace makes beauty
Out of ugly things

Also, from "These are the Days" by 10,000 Maniacs--takes me right back to my pregnancies:

These are the days you'll remember.
Never before and never since, I promise,
will the whole world be warm as this.
And as you feel it,
you'll know it's true
that you
are blessed and lucky.
It's true
that you
are touched by something
that will grow and bloom
in you.

It's a toss up for me between 2 John Lennon song. My obvious first choice is:

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

But then I remembered "Imagine" isn't even on my favorite Lennon record, so it should really be from a song off my favorite record, so that brings me to John Lennon's "Love". So simple, and so pure:

Love is real, real is love,
Love is feeling, feeling love,
Love is wanting to be loved.
Love is touch, touch is love,
Love is reaching, reaching love,
Love is asking to be loved.
Love is you,
You and me,
Love is knowing,
We can be.
Love is free, free is love,
Love is living, living love,
Love is needing to be loved.

Too hard to pick just one! I really like the lyrics of Green Day's Good Riddance:

Another turning point a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist directs you where to go
So make the best of this test and don't ask why
It's not a question but a lesson learned in time

It's something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life
