I'm sure he's hoping you'll give up. Don't. Can you call him from a different phone where he wouldn't recognize the caller ID? Send him a bill? Threaten small claims court? Just make it clear he owes you and you are not going away.
Ladies does being a Christian mean I'm a door mat and please feel free to walk all over me? Whenever I try to stick up for myself it either does no good or I end up sounding like I have p.m.s. I have someone who owes me money and I worked for that money and deserve it. How can I get the bum to pay?
I had money problems with a person also. We went throught the courts which did no good.I now have a policy that I will not lend out money again.
I also bvelieve it's how I talk to people that makes me seem crazy. Do you htink that your approach is the problem?
I would write him a certified letter stating exactly how much he owes me. I would give him a deadline to pay it and then I would file in small claims court. You will win and he will have to pay all of the court costs.
Make sure the letter is very professional and stick straight to all of the details you can prove in court.

Good Luck!
You said the words right out of my mouth, this is what I would do also.
What hurts the most is I considered him a friend not a liar. I went out of my way to watch his kids so he could sleep when he worked crazy hours, when he was sick and just listened to him when he needed someone to talk to. If he would just let down his guard I'm sure he could talk to me. It hurts that he had this plan into place before hand. I would never hurt anyone intentionally like this. Sigh.
This is exactly what you should put in a letter to him!!!
