It matter who is giving it to me. I hate when a younger guy is trying to pick me up. When dh does it I just smile. Otherwise I say thank you to everyone else.

I use to be horrible at them and I'm still not great. But I once had a friend who was GREAT about taking them. I learned a lot from her.

This is also something I need to work at. I often wonder if there was enough positive reniforment in my childhood. My DH will compliment me and I will say something that takes away from it. I think that, as said in a PP, just say thank you and go on would be a good thing for me to do.

i honestly cannot remember the last time i was complimented on anything..and i would be stunned if someone did.
