smell...i have been living without it for 14 years now...since i was in the second trimester with ds...it never came back.

the doctor was stumped as to why...my mom lost hers with me and her mom lost her sense of smell when she was pregnant with her second child( my mom was her first)...my sister has a hard time with most smells( she can smell things burning but thats it..i cannot even do that). i guess we are a family of oddballs.

I lost my sense of smell last year too. It does occasionally come back and I'm surprised if I realize I smelled some food cooking or a flower. I just miss the smell of flowers in my garden and food cooking/baking. The bonus is I can't smell the litter boxes. Of course, that means I can't tell if they need cleaning...
