Morning all,

I'm just writing this bc I'm alittle nervous. Went to the gyn this morning for my annual and doctor said she thinks I might have a cyst on my ovary. I've had this before, so that doesn't make me really worried. I've also been having some pain in my right breast, no big deal, but figured it was worth mentioning. Doc thinks it might just be too much caffeine. Soooo...next week I get an ultrasound for my cyst and mammogram in the same day. I'm not really, really scared, but of course, the "what ifs" start coming in instantaneously so now it's weighing on me alittle.

Any words or encouragement/prayers are very much appreciated!

I've had ovarian cysts and they are generally nothing to worry about. My sister also gets breasts cysts all the times and has spent countless hours worried to death about mammograms and additional follow ups to mammograms - and it's just that she has cysts in her breasts. My doctor recommends avoiding caffeine (that includes chocolate) to lessen that problem. At the very least, avoid them for a few days prior to getting your breast exam at the doctor.
At least the tests (ultrasound and mammogram) are easy and non-invasive. You'll be fine. I'm a firm believer of not worrying about something until you are actually given something to worry about.

I'm sure your mind is racing, that's normal - but try not to jump to conclusions. Take a deep breath and try to postpone your worries until you know they're justified.

I have heard about the caffeine thing, too. I'll be thinking of you and hoping you get good news very soon.

Thank you, all.

I'm just going about my business and not too worried, but there's this little gremlin in the back of my head "what iffing" me. As long as I keep ignoring him, I'm doing ok.

I go in on Wed for both and doc says I should hear in a week.

Praying these tests will put your mind at ease. Do let us know how things turn out.
