I was searching online for a natural deodorant and came across a deodorant stone. Does anyone use these? Do they work? Where do you buy them?

When my friend was on chemo for breast cancer, she used a deodorant stone because she was not allowed to use regular deodorant. She loved it so much she kept using it afterwards. Her stone looked like a crystal. She bought it at a health food store.

We've used them for years. You can get the ones that look like a rock or now they have them that "screw up" like a solid deodorant is. I can get them at my farm market, yoga studio, or CVS. My DH uses the "crystal spray" instead as he keeps dropping the rock and breaking it. It's great except on REALLY hot days where you are doing something active.

I've seen them on Amazon.com when I was looking for something natural. I didn't get it because you have to wet it - not always practical when I'm at the office and need a quick refresher. I did order the Crystal roll-on, and so far it's working for me.

I used one when I was in college many moons ago. But, you had to wet it, rub it on and let it dry before getting dressed. I was (am) usually in such a hurry when getting ready that I grew impatient for it to dry. I agree that on really hot days, you may need to reapply for it to be effective.
