How do you react to things on this board?

Look on the bright side. It's not like years ago when if one person posted and another disagreed,the next thing you know their friends were ganging up on you and your friends were defending you and well.......it was a big mess! Thankfully it's not like THAT anymore,or atleast i have not noticed it to be that way anymore.
Things used to get to me easily,especially during PMS week.I've learned to let it go now,it's not worth the battle.

I really just try not to take anything personally. If I don't agree with someone I try to be nice about it. I don't like to rock the boat, so I don't think I have ever been mean and made anyone mad. I really try to be nice. If I have ever offended anyone please accept my apologies.

I can't remember anyone on here ever offending me like that but I try to be thick skinned on here and try to realize it is just their opinion and not everyone thinks alike.

My feelings can get hurt very easily also. They haven't on this board (yet) but I am sure it is coming. Writing is just such a subjective form of communication. The "voice" we hear is not always accurate. I just try to remember that. (Although, some posts are pretty pointed and hurtful..."boo" to those posters.)

Too funny! I agree with everyone who said you have to take internet posts with a grain of salt. People here feel a lot more "free" to voice their opinions here, and things often get misinterpreted. Also, we are a very diverse bunch here - which can be great on so many levels but it also creates discord sometimes. I think we've come a long, long way in that we are mostly very civil and accepting of differences.

Sometimes I get upset with what people say but I don't dwell on it. I always say Keep it Simple.

I agree that you have to take it with a grain of salt. If dwell on what someone says, it just makes life way too short and ages you faster.

I do get riled up on here sometimes and over the years I have left the board for a few months here and there because of a particular post or poster that got me really mad. There was one person who used to be on here all the time (she isn't here anymore) that used to tick me off on a regular basis. It was like she looked for my posts just to give me a hard time. I have to say I don't miss her.

I have been on different boards for 5 years or more. There was one that got so bad they had to shut down and reorgainze with about 20 of us, who didn't try to start something.

I try to post just my thoughts on a subject and if ask, I will tell my opinion on how I would handle a certain situation.

But I have learn with being a mom and a stepmom that each child and stepchild is complety different and you have to handle each person different.
Some you have to "tread" lightly when giving out an opinion even when asked.

Also I try not to waste my energy or time with somebody, who I probably will never ever know what they look like.

Also, it would be a dull boring life, if we all thought alike.
