Hi, I gained a lot of weight during my husband's deployment to Iraq, he did too Everyone was sending crates of candy and junk to him and his office. My husband's cousin's wife also gained alot of weight during her husband's deployment, he was in more dangerous combat and actually got shot through his armor and the bullet missed all the major organs and went out the back That's another story though. Anyone else dealing with this issue?

Who would have thought that the guys over there coudl actually gain weight? LOL I just heard a report on the news today about soldiers who were not being fed I just about went through my TV screen to strangle somebody

I don't have the problem you are talking about however I sense that the weight gain was an emotional crutch in his absense. You may want to think about the reasons why you eat and when you eat and work on that. I think that may help you lose the weight and even prevent you from doing it again, his next deployment

Until then, you can always exercise to get it off. Burn baby burn! Start doing something small and easy and build up to something more challenging. It will melt right off, especially if it's weight gain that happenned suddenly and for emotional reasons, as opposed to unhealthy eating habits over a long course of time!
