Ok. I will focus on the good today.

1) I ran my race without stopping
2) THERE WERE THREE HILLS in this race...
3) The wind was at my back on the way "home" to the finish line
4) The finish line was inside the baseball stadium and the TEAM was cheering on the finishers!
5) My time was 27:13, still not GREAT but better than last week.
6) I placed 4th in my age division (again) and 30th overall in the females
7) I'M RETIRING FOR THE SUMMER, returning to race again in the fall!

The race was tough. Especially the hills. The wind going INTO the hills sucked...but I was so greatful it was at our backs to guide us back to the finish!

The heat gets so unbearable in the summer, so I am taking a break from road races, but will probably resume this fall.

Hopefully over the summer with my roller blading, I can strengthen my legs and build up my endurance and kick some MAJOR butt in the fall! (hopefully, with fingers and legs crossed)
