Do people always ask you for favors because they know you'll come through? Are you the kind of person that will go the distance to help someone in need?

Dh and I are very people oriented and I would say that we do go the distance, even for folks we don't know very well.

I wouldn't say that people 'always' ask me favors...with my friends and family, it's truly a back and forth deal. Someone may ask me or Dh for help on something, but they've done things for us and will continue to do things in return. It's very reciprocal.

Yes, especially when I was "working". As a SAHM, I had a hard time at first - I'd say yes to everything and wanted to volunteer for it all - I was used to being in charge of groups and being a member who got things done. In my son's first year, though, I learned very quickly to start saying No, Thank You and sticking to it. I've gone a leetle beet to far the opposite way. I just try not to take on anything I have to back out of or can't fulfill. Leaves me out of a lot!

I am very helpful until people take advantage of it. Then I won't go out of my way for those people.

This is totally my DH and I also and we have been lucky enough that our children are starting to do the same thing also with people.
