You know there is a church sign that I pass everyday going to work that says "God is never in a hurry, He is always on time." I'm glad you have been blessed.

Now see! if more people gave God credit for all the little surprises in life, they could be a lot happier!

In seminary, DH used to thank God for little things like a close parking spot or a string of green lights when driving. Some other students were mocking him until he said "well, people mutter His name in vain and blame Him when it doesn't happen, so why shouldn't I thank Him when it does?" That shut them up. LOL

DH's family (a pastor's family), has had many times where God has given a little blessing here, and a little one there, when they've needed it.

I think God not only provides and blesses us with big things (a job, children, etc) but works in the little things as well. A bag of groceries on the doorstep when you've no money for the rest of the week. Free bread goods from a church member. A friend offering you their vacation home for a much-needed break. The examples given by previous posters... (I can't think of any more right now, I'm tired.)

I think when you're walking in the will of the Lord, He gives little provisions and blessings to sustain and encourage you. He can work in an through anything and anyone to bless His children and provide for them because He loves us so much.

Well I have to agree that GOD provide us with blessings when we need them.

On Tuesday my dh and I were discussing our savings and lack there of. We decided that we need to go on a spending freeze. About 2 hours later my dh called to tell his boss wants him go to a golf outing with him on Wednesday.

We luckily my supervisor had his golf clubs in his truck, since we didn't have any. He let my dh borrow them for the day.

So my dh went golfing yesterday and came home to tell me that he won the 50/50 which was $300.00 cash, a 2 night stay at a fancy hotel in the city and a 100 gift cert for the spa.

I find that to by a very nice blessing...
