When you think you have it all figured out and BAM your plans get all turned around and you realize that it is time to refigure.

I think I "roll" pretty well. I might resist it in the beginning - probably will threaten to sue someone and my husband will just roll his eyes at me. But then I can usually move on. I'm pretty flexible.

What suggestions do you have for when life doesn't go as planned?

I know they are cliches, but I always tell my kiddos to either:

1. "Build a bridge and get over it" or
2. "Put on you big girl (or boy) panties and deal with it"

It's always followed by a big hug.

I am not good with rolling with the punches until I have no choice but to.

It all kind of goes with the Serenity Prayer!!

I am very good at rolling with the punches. No reason to waste time and energy on things you cannot change.

I try to. Sometimes in the beginning of a "crises" I get a little dramatic, but usually sit back and wonder why I'm acting so crazy about it and move on.

This describes me exactly. Life happens and you just have to adapt or you can drive yourself crazy worrying about things you cannot change.

Bingo on the Serenity prayer. Either I can do something or I can't and that's that. I also live by the twelve step program (I go to Al-Anon), especially knowing that I'm powerless over a lot of things, and it's not up to me to fix and do everything. My family has had a lot of ups and downs with my mom's alcoholism, and I'm the one who always has to pick up the pieces.

I usually do great under pressure, but I have to be careful, because it seems like about a week after every crisis, I get a freaking ulcer and have to go on medication. Never DURING the crisis, only after.

DH also has a saying - "It all comes out in the wash."

Rolling with the punches is my strong suit. I thinkI've been doing it for the ten years that I've been married. I heard a great line out of a Country song a while ago and it goes something like this. Wanna hear God laugh?....TEll him your plan.

I'm pretty good at rolling with the punches. But, I'm the eternal optimist. So, I can usually find the good in everything.

Okay, I had to read this because this is something I need to work on. I worry about things I can do nothing about. I have to stop and start living. It is time for me to move past this.
