We often worry what is expected of us from others but what do youthin God expects of you? I think he wants me to change to depend less on material things and more on him and the beauty\free things in life. My anxiety and worry makes it difficult to manage my time and money. I pray for him to change me.

I like this post better than your other one Amber!

In fact it is such a good question that I am going to have to think about it. I promise, I will get back to it!

I think God wants each one of us to "treat others as we would want to be treated" and not to be selfish and self-center. But most of all I think that he wants us to remember that he (God) is in control at all times.

I think God wants me to represent Him through the way I live my life. I know that He wants me to Praise Him through the good times and the bad and to always look to Him.

the bible says that "to much is given much is required" and I often think how we/me as an american are given much...

I want my children to grow up and love him, and I think he expects me to train them that way.

like mel, I think I am going to have to meditate on that for awhile before I answer more

Well, I think the simple answer is, "to glorify God and enjoy him forever." Meaning, he wants me to love him and live according to his word, the Bible. In everything I do, I should try to please him. What that looks like on a daily basis is harder to describe. Mostly just stopping and considering whether what I'm doing or thinking of doing is in line with what God wants for me, according to his word and through prayer. If that makes any sense?

I think it all comes down to the Great Command - "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind...Love your neighbor as yourselves..."

But I know what you mean, He places a "call" on everyone's life. I know I have a call to orphans. No doubt about that. And He expects me to be obedient to that call. Sometimes I get overwhelmed with the idea of it but I just have to remember, "Baby steps." I think, maybe, the most disappointing thing to Him would be for me to think that the very God who created the universe, raised Jesus from the dead, and who lives and dwells in me isn't big enough to handle whatever He gives me. I constantly have to remind myself of that one.

Love God and Love People!!!! Sounds simple enough - but not as easy to live on a daily basis. Whatever is done for the "least of these" you have done for God. I believe God expects me to have faith and trust in HIM but He has also called me to action. The Great Commission doesn't say sit, rest, take it easy.... NO, it says "GO!!!!" I take comfort knowing God is by my side all the way, and as Jer. 29 says... God has "plans for my future, to prosper me and not to harm me." Eph 3:20 - God will do immeasurably more than all I could ever ask or imagine because it is HE working through/within me for His glory!!!!

I want my children to have God in their lives even more than I do. I struggle and sometimes get down. There are days were I feel he is far and I miss him. There are days were my faith seems to have run out. But he keeps filling me up. I can only get better through him. I make mistakes and poor decisions like everyone else. That is how I learn.

YES! It makes perfect sense to me. I am trying to ask him more and more before I do something. Maybe I should have asked him before I posted the e-mail LOL.
