Do you ever go to your closet and it seems like suddenly there is nothing to wear?

I couldn't find anything to wear to church last Sunday. It is cold and I had to put away my summer dresses.

Although I'm the same weight, I still can't fit into some of my "dress" clothes. The clothes I wore to the office are very fitted/tailored. I could wear them but they show my muffin top/mommy pooch.. lol. I will also mention they are almost six years old anyway.

I finally "broke down" and bought myself two new blouses, pair of pants and a dress. They are the same size as the other clothes but more mommy friendly

As I get older it seems like things on my body has "shifted".

My boobs are going South, my belly is going east and west, even though I still wear size 8. I have to shop around and find size 8's that flatter my body shape.

And a lot of time the clothes manfactors sizing, seems off.

I have that feeling all the time .

This year I got ruthless and got rid of 3/4 of my clothes when we moved in August. Most of it was the stuff I never wear but keep around because I "may" decide to wear it one day . The surprising thing was that I actually had more to wear once I got rid of the majority of my clothes. Also now that my side of the closet and dresser are emptier I don't feel bad buying clothes that fit me right.

My closet is very empty. I've purged and purged it. I refuse to wear ill fitting clothes. Liamsmom said something the other week about not wanting to look like a sausage. Now I think about that when I'm getting dressed.. lol.

I go through that at least 5 times a week! My style has recently changed, so my problem is that I just don't like anything I have right now. Can't afford new clothes though, so I guess I'm just screwed for awhile!

Oh no!!! I'm so sorry I tainted you with my sausage fears! I feel like as I age and my body changes from babies, I need to be more realistic about what styles I can wear. Low rise, boot cut jeans dont really look good on me anymore
I'm trying to replace clothes slowly. I end up wearing the same thing over and over again...
Im going out with the girls tomorrow night and I swear I have NOTHING to wear, I'm serious, nothing.

DH doesn't understand how I can look at a closet full of clothes and say I have nothing to wear. I tell him it's just like when he's staring at a refrigerator full of food and says there's nothing to eat.

That's ok, I was already paranoid about showing my muffin top

I went shopping at Kohls and JCPenney, I couldn't find ANYTHING. How ridiculous is that. I ended up buying a few things on JC Penney clearance.
