My big question!

What is pineapple syrup? How do you use it? Or what do you put it on? And how do you make it?

OK that is more than one big question. but I have never heard of it before!

Hi everyone and nice to meet you too!


When I buy too much canned pineapple at a case lot sale I make it into a syrup so that I can extend the shelf life.

We put it on bannana pancakes with toasted almonds and whipped cream or my DH likes to dip fried bread dough in it for a dessert.

PINEAPPLE SYRUP
10 cups crushed pineapple
7 cups of sugar

bring to a boil constantly stiring so it does not burn. Keep it at a boil for 30 mins stiring every few mins.

Put it in pt jars and water bath process for 25 mins.
This will make 6 pts.

Mexican chicken salad

Heat till warm
chicken (white meat) canned with taco seasoning
black beans
corn

Put on top of
Mixed greens

Add topping
green onions
tomatoes
cheese
olives
corn tortillas that have been cut into strips and fried

Dressing
mix salsa and sour cream together

It may not sound very cheap but I get most of the veggies out of my garden, I get the chicken for 99 cents a pound and can it, I can my own salsa with veggies from my garden and make my own tortillas
