What is your first name?
Camille but I go by Cami

What are your kids’ names and ages?
We were told that we could not have kids, so we did all the treatments and started filling out paperwork for adoption. We needed a break from life so we went down to Disney Land for a few days. One night we skipped the fireworks and nine months later we had our son Daren James aka DJ. I can say that I really did hear fireworks when I got pregnant. DJ is now 3 and we have started doing classes for foster care.

How did you find Mommysavers? Have you referred anyone here? Were you referred here?
I was looking up things on youtube about food storage/saving on food and came across Kim giving a demo of something (cannot remember what it was but I am sure it was great) and at the end it gave this site.

I teach a class at church about food storage/family prep and a big part of it is getting out of debt and stocking up. This months class is on coupons and what better place to send them to then here?

What does your user name mean?
My son started calling me Meme as a baby, Meme to DJ

Out of all the things the members here have offered in terms of advice, support, counsel and criticism, what have you personally benefited from? And do you remember specifically who the member was that offered that advice?
I cannot tell you one thing on its own but if you put it all together I have found that there are a lot of other women out there who are in, have been in or going to be in the same boat that I am. If it is doing things green, cooking, gardening, saving money, family there is a person out there that can/will help.

If I had to pick one, hmmmmm, I guess I would have to say that I have benefited the most from melsboreganophoenyxskimommyaddimomkimbonna9182. You said one right?

How many coupons do you use on a regular basis?
Give or take about 15 a week.

What was your most recent "bargain"?
We went to Home Depot to get some seeds that were half off. They were only on sale at another store so I talked to the garden manager and she gave them to us at half off. I also called our alarm system company to find out when our contract will end, by the end of the phone call she knocked 5.00 a month off our bill. It may not sound like much but it showed us that we do have some power over how much we will spend and I think that is a huge "bargain".

What have you done to save money this week?
I canned taco sauce and pineapple syrup.

What do you consider a way of life that others think is a crazy way to save?
I have a years supply of food in my cold storage. My SIL thought that I was crazy but when we sat down and did the math I shocked the tar out of her with the amount I spent vs. what she pays. I also can and grow as much of our own food as I can.

What is your favorite store in which to find bargains?
Macys and Smiths when they have their case lot sales. I will buy a years supply of items during these sales.

What is the best deal you ever found (even if it wasn’t at your favorite store)?
This is not at a store but on KSL.com in the classified adds I found 200 qt canning jars with rings for 40.00. If you any canning you know I scored!

What is your best money saving tip?
I wanted to say make a budget but the best tip is "STAY ON BUDGET!"

What is your favorite frugal meal?
Mexican chicken salad.

Do you enter contests? If so, what is the best prize you’ve ever won?
I do enter them but I think the only thing I won was the Going Green here on MS. Oh, I won prom queen but that was almost 25 years ago, boy, does that make me feel old!

If money were no object, what 3 things would you buy yourself or your family?
New truck for DH, Pool and a boat to take to the lake.

If you had $10 to spend on yourself (you and you alone) what would you buy?
Hair color! I no longer have roots of gray but trunks of gray on my head

Are there words you live by? What are they?
Eat it up, wear it out, make it do or do without.

Sum yourself up in 1 word:
Loyal

Thanks for sharing!

It's funny you found us through the YouTube videos, since I wasn't sure anyone ever viewed them! I'm so glad they brought you to us.

I'd love it if you'd share that Mexican chicken salad recipe. It sounds yummy!

You're a hoot! Glad to get to know you better! And, I sympathize with you about the "trunks" of gray hair!

I enjoyed reading your post. Nice to "see" the person behind the name.

So I take it there are a lot of Disney visits to celebrate his birthday in the future?
