What does your user name mean? I love to smile and think it's my best feature hence and then my childhood nickname = SmilingJo

Out of all the things the members here have offered in terms of advice, support, counsel and criticism, what have you personally benefited from? And do you remember specifically who the member was that offered that advice? I have loved all the ideas I get from the Simple & Green living board. And the Kitchen Chatter ladies have some great recipes.

How many coupons do you use on a regular basis? None really.

What was your most recent "bargain"? Two new shirts for DH...for free! I used my JCP's $10 off $10 coupons!

What have you done to save money this week? I made another batch of homemade laundry soap.

What do you consider a way of life that others think is a crazy way to save? Homemade laundry soap! More than a few people have asked why I don't just buy it.

What is your favorite store in which to find bargains? Goodwill for clothes, Craigslist for furniture (I know it not a store, but I can find some great deals)


What is your best money saving tip? Invest in vinegar...it's extremely versatile.

What is your favorite frugal meal? Shepard's pie.

Do you enter contests? If so, what is the best prize you’ve ever won? Yes I've enter a few but have never won anything. I think I need to enter more!

If money were no object, what 3 things would you buy yourself or your family? 1) A new roof with solar panels 2)An RV so we can travel 3) college educations for my girls

If you had $10 to spend on yourself (you and you alone) what would you buy? Coffee and a brainteaser book.
