What is your first name?
Frances! But I've gone by Terri most of my life; even registered as an alias with the Air Force lol
What are your kids’ names and ages?
Quinton Alan is 21; Fallon Nicole is 19; Payton Meredith is almost 17; and Hayvon Aleese is 6
How did you find Mommysavers? Have you referred anyone here? Were you referred here?
I was on Mommysavers a few times, format would change and I'd get lost and reregister. I found it through an ebay user I believe. In the 'old days' I was only around for the bartering.
What does your user name mean?
Teeeee is just for my initial. Mrs was added when I got married to my current hubby and 67 is my year of birth. The e's used to number four for my kids and I. After I got remarried and had Hayvon, it became one 'e' for each child. You can just write teeeeeeeeeee if ya want though,, with how ever many e's ya feel like
Out of all the things the members here have offered in terms of advice, support, counsel and criticism, what have you personally benefited from? And do you remember specifically who the member was that offered that advice?
The MOST important thing I learned was from blessed_with_six about the car seats that have a 5 pt harness above the 35lb mark. I LOVE having my bitty chick in a Radian!
How many coupons do you use on a regular basis?
*hangs head in shame* I no longer use coupons regularly. I used to drive an hour away and do double coupons every week, but nowhere here doubles anymore. I lost my motivation after stuff quit being FREE or close to it!
What was your most recent "bargain"?
A THIRTY DOLLAR treadmill! Guy didn't know how to 'adjust' it, we did!! He was good with that and STILL sold it to us for thirty bucks!
What have you done to save money this week?
Bought sale meat and 'vacumned' it up.
What do you consider a way of life that others think is a crazy way to save?
I'm not sure I'm real 'out there' in anyway.
What is your favorite store in which to find bargains?
The DAV thrift store in the valley. I don't get to go very often, but when I do, I score everytime!
What is the best deal you ever found (even if it wasn’t at your favorite store)?
Not sure I've ever done better than that 30 dollar treadmill. However, a COOL bargain lately was a 'treasure chest' from Salvation Army for 1.79. It's an awesome little wooden chest will unique latches. It's going to be our 'class treasure chest' that my daughter asked for about 2 weeks before I found it.
What is your best money saving tip?
Faithfully check thrift stores and clearance items. Put things away for gift occasions instead of giving them immediately just because they were 'cheap'.
What is your favorite frugal meal?
Easy peasy, but more a cold weather meal for us: Spray nonstick spray on baking pan. Lay frozen burritos in bottom of pan. Pour diced tomatoes and chili over the top. Layer Velveeta type cheese on top. Bake until cheese melts and chili/tomatoes bubble.
Do you enter contests? If so, what is the best prize you’ve ever won?
Not very often. We used to win a lot of morning trivia games on the radio in Gallup, New Mexico.
If money were no object, what 3 things would you buy yourself or your family?
-A housekeeper,, which wouldn't really be for ME, but for my hubby cause he REALLY wishes things were 'up a level', I cause him stress
-Trips, I'd love to travel everywhere and love to see my family back home more.
-Nice new van for when I do daycare again.
If you had $10 to spend on yourself (you and you alone) what would you buy?
Multi colors of brads from the craft store.
Are there words you live by? What are they?
Don't wish it away. *Enjoy where you are, not so anxious for the next stage, that you 'miss' the stage you're in.*
Sum yourself up in 1 word:
That's terribly difficult. I'll go with survivor.
