What is your first name? Tricia

What are your kids’ names and ages? Sierra is 9 and Treydon is 6

How did you find Mommysavers? Have you referred anyone here? Were you referred here? I actually google searched for a support forum while my husband was suffering from depression. Mommysavers came up and I have loved it ever since.

What does your user name mean? apparently it means prettiest lady on the block in patwah, which is jamaican slang, my bil gave it to me when I was trying to come up with a user name

Out of all the things the members here have offered in terms of advice, support, counsel and criticism, what have you personally benefited from? And do you remember specifically who the member was that offered that advice? I would have to say the best advice I got was not from just one member it was from many members who were there to offer there support when I had no one to turn to while my husband was severely depressed

How many coupons do you use on a regular basis? aww not many because I always forget, I cut them out but never use them

What was your most recent "bargain"? School shopping for my two kids, I was able to get everything on their list from Target and only spent $25

What have you done to save money this week? started up a change jar, all of my change and my dh change is put in the jar and once it is full we will change it into dollars

What do you consider a way of life that others think is a crazy way to save? I keep all my cash in a firesafe box in my house, I dont know I feel better knowing its right at my fingertips if I need it

What is your favorite store in which to find bargains? Target is my favorite

What is the best deal you ever found (even if it wasn’t at your favorite store)? $1.00 dvds at Target, one of them was 13 going on 30, another was flashdance, which is a fav. of mine. I ended up buying like 5.

What is your best money saving tip? always check clearance, and sales chances are you will find what you need, and if you don't need it, don't buy it

What is your favorite frugal meal?Taco soup.....costs about $5 to $8 for the meal and feeds my family of four with a leftovers for another meal

Do you enter contests? If so, what is the best prize you’ve ever won? No I don't regularly enter any contests

If money were no object, what 3 things would you buy yourself or your family? First I would buy a house, next i would buy myself a cafe or drive thru coffee stand so we can have a family business, and lastly I would buy us a fabulous family vacation

If you had $10 to spend on yourself (you and you alone) what would you buy? That is hard, I would probably buy myself a cup of coffee and save the rest...lol

Are there words you live by? What are they? The words I found myself living by alot these days is ....... All I can do is laugh my butt off and hope for the best.

Sum yourself up in 1 word: happy

Congrats on being MOTW, gotta love those change jars we have a few ourselves. My family also like Taco soup and I agree about the leftovers, I try to make this one a few times during the winter months.

Taco soup

1lb of meat (turkey, beef)
1 pkg. taco season
1 onion chopped
1 can corn
1 can kidney beans (drained)
1 can chili beans
2 cans of stewed or diced tomatos

brown meat in pan first then saute onion with it, next dump everything else in to the pot. let it simmer for about 15 minutes. thats it your done.

Now I have completely taken the meat out also and it tastes pretty yummy. I prefer diced tomatos. Also if you brown the meat first you can actually throw it all in a crockpot on low, I do that too. You can also add sourcream and cheese to the top of your bowl and yummo.

Its quick easy and cheap...MY FAVORITE!!!!!
