MS Mom of the Week is a fun way for us to get to know the Mommysavers members. The Mom of the Week is randomly selected a week in advance of her being featured. I do this so I can contact you, let you know your feature date, and arrange to receive from you a picture of yourself and/or you with your kids to include with the survey. What are your kids’ names? Jayden (ds age 2.5), Morgan (dh's daughter 4.5) Katie (dh's daughter age 2)
Were you ready for motherhood? No one is, but it's been a great adventure that I wouldn't trade for anything.
Have you ever met someone who has completely inspired you to be a better person? Can you tell us about that relationship and how it has affected you? Several people fit this for their own reason. 2 people at the top of the list stick out though. My daddy who passed last year was my hero, my mentor and my everything. He was a very devout Christian who taught me SO many things. Another was a dear friend names Johnny O'Mara who taught me so much about life and how to over come the hardest obstacles. He taught me to believe in something and not live it is dishonest.
Do you have any nervous habits? What are they? I chew my lower lip
Did you ever date a guy your parents did not like? Were they right about him? Yes I did, and they WERE right. I learned a lot of life's lessons through that relationship.
What do you want your kids to remember the most about you? That I love them unconditionally. That I was always there for them and that no matter their decisions in life nothing ever caused that love to lessen.
What did you learn the most from your mother? That women can do anything a man can, and sometimes better. She taught me to be a strong woman.
How many coupons do you use on a regular basis? What is your best money saving tip? It depends on the week really, but I use a ton of them regularly. I have 3 organizers full. If I see something I want I wait about a month. If it is still fresh on my mind and I think about it regularly I consider buying it.
How did you find Mommysavers? Have you referred anyone here? Were you referred here?From Sarah, a dear friend of mine. I have told others about it, though I don't know if they ever joined. I was referred by Sarah.
Out of all the things the members here have offered in terms of advice, support, counsel and criticism, what have you personally benefited from? And do you remember specifically who the member was that offered that advice?
Wow…Too many…....everyone on here offers their own little piece to the puzzle of life so to speak. I can't fairly name just one who has been here for me without naming the whole site.
Have you ever met a mommysaver? yes, but under different circumstances (nothing to do with Mommy Savers)
What is the most romantic thing your dh ever did for you? when asking him what he wanted for his birthday and Christmas he lovingly rubbed my very pregnant belly and told me I was carrying his best gift ever.
Tell us five things you like about yourself. Hmm, I have a good sense of character, I love to love people, I have nice eyes (so I hear), I consider myself intellectual and I have a love of helping others.
What hobby do you enjoy the most? What got you started on it? How would you rate yourself? Can you show us a picture of your proudest piece of work? being a mommy is my favorite hobby. Ds started me (obviously), I say I am a 10 on making pretty babies, and I have tons of pictures. I will post one when the baby comes so you can see my 2 greatest accomplishments.
How many frogs did you kiss before you found Mr. Right? Was he worth the wait? 5
What is your favorite genre of music? Who is your favorite group? Have you ever seen them in concert? I love almost all of it. I don't do gang banging rap crap and I can't handle heavy metal.
List three things you have on your Life List; things you would like to accomplish before you leave this world. seeing my kids grow up, being more influential in kids around the worlds lives and leaving this world making sure Dh knows how blessed I am to have him. I got lucky when I got him.
Which room in your house best reflects your personality? All of them offer a little of me.
What do you see your children growing up to be like? What career path would they choose? Jayden is really the only one I can speak for right now, but I see him at this point being in a job where he can demolish something.
Is there something we would never guess about you? Some kind or quirk you have no one close to you knows about. (C’mon tell us!!!!) Not really. I am an open book. I have stupid fears (like wet hair, clowns and big buildings).
Are there words you live by? What are they? "It is better to remain silent and let others assume you're an idiot than to speak and remove all doubt." and "To believe in something and not live it is dishonest."
