**Disclaimer**
MS Mom of the Week is a fun way for us to get to know the Mommysavers members. Newbies to the board as well as regulars are welcome to participate. The Mom of the Week is randomly selected a week in advance of her being featured. I do this so I can contact you, let you know your feature date, and arrange to receive a picture from you to include with the survey. Having a picture included is so we can make it a little more personal and put a name to a face. This is optional of course, as are all the questions being asked. If I don’t hear back from you before your “feature” date, I will randomly select the next person and then get back to you the following week. If you would like to participate please PM Christy_K_ and we will get you signed up.

Let’s get started!!!

What is your first name?
Heather

What are your kids’ names?
Julian "Elias" (My ds goes by his middle name and he first name is after my grandfather who passed away before he was born) Camdyn Everlee (dd's name)

Were you ready for motherhood?
Not totally. I was 21 and really wasnt ready for the responsibility but once I found out I was pregnant that all changed.

Have you ever met someone who has completely inspired you to be a better person? Can you tell us about that relationship and how it has affected you?
Yes, his name is Kevin and he is my dd's Godfather. He is the most
awesome person I have ever met! He became paralized from the neck down in
highschool while ruffhousing w/ a friend and ever since he has been such an
inspiration to me and my family. He got the use of his hands back (enough to be
able to type on a computer w/ help and feed himself) and he finished highschool
and went on to finish a college degree and is now in the process of buying
his own home! He never EVER gives up and truely belives that some day he
will walk again. I have never met a more determined person in my life!!

Do you have any nervous habits? What are they?
biting my nails. (yuk! I know)

Did you ever date a guy your parents did not like? Were they right about him?
Oh yeah! I dated lots of guys my parents didnt like just b/c I knew they didnt like them and yes they were right (about all of them).

What do you want your kids to remember the most about you?
That I loved them. I am always telling them how much I loved them and how much they mean to me. Plus, I always make an extra point of kissing and hugging them and telling them I love them when I walk out the door (even if its just to run a quick errand) b/c you just never know what will happen. I have always thought that if something unexpected happened to take me away from my family I want the last thing that I said to them to be "I love you".

What did you learn the most from your mother?
I think the best thing that I ever learned from my mom was how a marriage is supposed to be. Her and my dad have been married for 30 some years and their marriage is still going strong. This was such a good example for me growing up.

How many coupons do you use on a regular basis? What is your best money saving tip?
Umm....not many lately but typically I will use between 6 and 10. My best money saving tip is to turn the lights off. This has saved us alot on our electric bill. Whenever possible we just open the curtains and not use the lights or turn the lights off in rooms we arent in.

How did you find Mommysavers? Have you referred anyone here? Were you referred here?
I cant remember exactly how I found Mommysavers but I think I just stumbled across it when I was cruising the internet one day. I did refer my cousin here a few times and I know that she has checked the site out but she has her hands full lately w/ her dad (my uncle that is sick). Nope no one refered me here.

Out of all the things the members here have offered in terms of advice, support, counsel and criticism, what have you personally benefited from? And do you remember specifically who the member was that offered that advice?
I have personally benefited from support everyone has given me through the last about 10 months w/ everything my family had going on. I've had 2 family members pass away and am about to have another pass on soon and all the prayers and support and kind words have meant alot to me over the months. I dont know what I would do w/o all of you on the board helping me!! Thank you so much.

Have you ever met a mommysaver?
Nope, not yet but I hope to some day.

What is the most romantic thing your dh ever did for you?
Ummm...dh isnt a very romantic person but I would have to say it was our honeymoon. Dh planned the entire thing and we stayed in the most beautiful and romantic bed and breakfast on the Oregon coast.

Tell us five things you like about yourself.
Umm...my eyes, the fact that Im a mother and a wife, Im a good friend, good listener, and am caring.

What hobby do you enjoy the most? What got you started on it? How would you rate yourself? Can you show us a picture of your proudest piece of work?
Well..Ive been trying to get into scrapbooking but I rarely have time to sit down and enjoy although I am trying to be better about that. My mil and cousin got me started on it. Mil has every scrapbooking item known to man in her basement and cousin is a Creative Memories consultant. If I had to rate myelf I would say I am not very good. I am not a very crafty person but I try. Yes, I made a scrapbook page of me and 2 friends from Arizona when I was little.

How many frogs did you kiss before you found Mr. Right? Was he worth the wait?
Ugghh..ALOT!! In fact I kissed Mr. Right about 3 times before we got it right. Yup, thats right! We dated 3 times for about a year each time. Looking back now its seems like it took us forever to finally figure things out but we a certainly both glad that we did!

What is your favorite genre of music? Who is your favorite group? Have you ever seen them in concert?
I absolutely LOVE music!! I listen to every type of music out there so I dont really have a favorite group. I really like James Taylor (probably b/c I grew up listening to my parent play his music all the time). I did go to the Gorge w/ my family in highschool and watch him in concert.

List three things you have on your Life List; things you would like to accomplish before you leave this world
See my children get married and watch my grandchildren grow
Go on a cruise
Travel over seas

Which room in your house best reflects your personality?
Ha! None of them. We moved into our house nearly a year ago and all the walls are still white! One of my goals this year though is to get this house painted.

What do you see your children growing up to be like? What career path would they choose?
I would hope that they grow up to be mature responsible adults and learn from their parents mistakes. Right now ds wants to be a train conductor and dd well she goes back and forth between a barrel racer and are you ready for this....A BULL RIDER!! She gets it from dh side of the family. They were/are in the rodeo. Most of the guys rode bulls and one was a clown and the girls are all into barrel racing.

Is there something we would never guess about you? Some kind or quirk you have no one close to you knows about. (C’mon tell us!!!!)
Well, my dh knows about this but I dont think any one else does. I absolutely hate having my ribs touched or anything touching my ribs!! I dont know what it is but I just can not stand it. Weird I know.

Are there words you live by? What are they?
Yes! Right now there are two quotes that I live by. The first one is "Be Present" and its my favorite. My family friend Jared who passed away unexpectedly this summer said this all the time and now that he is gone is just really brings a whole new meaning to it. It basically just means be here in the moment, live in the moment b/c thats all you have. The other one is "Live life to its fullest". Not sure where this came from but our pastor
says it all the time.
