I loved reading your post, but the story about your teacher brought big tears to my eyes. Do you know what a special young lady you must have been for a teacher who was so lost in her own depression and desperation to make a point of seeking you out to say those important words to you? You touched her as much as she touched you. You have always, obviously, been a wonderful person. I'm glad that you had each other, if only for a brief moment in time.
We need to find a cabin in the snowy mountains together.....to just relax and watch the giant snow flakes fall carelessly and smoothly to the ground while we sit by a fire with our cups of hot cocoa.....aaahhh....heaven on earth.
Thanks for the shout-out, too.

Jeannette, that teacher was very sweet, caring, and beautiful--inside and out. Many people had a hard time understanding why such a wonderful person who looked as if she had everything going for her could do such a sad thing. I think that back then there were not as many options for depression and/or not that much was known about it. I often wonder how her children turned out.
Now about that cabin~~that sounds wonderful, but you KNOW we have to have some freshly baked cookies to go with that cocoa!!
