MS Mom of the Week is a fun way for us to get to know the Mommysavers members. Newbies to the board as well as regulars are welcome to participate. The Mom of the Week is randomly selected a week in advance of her being featured. I do this so I can contact you, let you know your feature date, and arrange to receive a picture from you to include with the survey. Having a picture included is so we can make it a little more personal and put a name to a face. This is optional of course, as are all the questions being asked. If I don’t hear back from you before your “feature” date, I will randomly select the next person and then get back to you the following week. What is your first name? Angela
What are your kids’ names? Derek Lance is the oldest (16), Isaac Samuel is the middle (7), and Alexander Easton is the youngest (5)
Were you ready for motherhood? Yeah, but I’m more ready now than I was then!!!!
Have you ever met someone who has completely inspired you to be a better person? Can you tell us about that relationship and how it has affected you? My mother. She has had to go through such adversity when I was a kid. I had an alcoholic father, and a younger brother and sister. She did so much in showing us perseverance, integrity, and bravery!!! All of those things that you can’t buy, you have to see in action and lived by someone. She has fibromyalgia, and vertigo problems that she just has to live with every day, but she is up and going and doing all the time. She has a big vegetable garden, flowers, and just goes and goes. She has a wonderful husband who is such a great man. They both encourage me daily!
Do you have any nervous habits? What are they? I do. I emotionally eat!!! Not a good thing, and a habit that I am trying to stop!
Did you ever date a guy your parents did not like? Were they right about him? Not really.
What do you want your kids to remember the most about you? The love that I have for them, and the special times that we share, and my laughter.
What did you learn the most from your mother? To be strong no matter what life throws at you! Trust in God!
How many coupons do you use on a regular basis? What is your best money saving tip? I’m sorry to say that I don’t use coupons on a regular basis… Add some water to the liquid soap that you buy. It is SO thick! When you refill your soap dispenser, fill about half up with soap and then add water to the rest. It still cleans your hands good.
How did you find Mommysavers? Have you referred anyone here? Were you referred here? I had lurked around mommysavers for several years, but I didn’t start posting till my cousin RollTideMommy, mentioned something to me about it, and then I started posting.
Out of all the things the members here have offered in terms of advice, support, counsel and criticism, what have you personally benefited from? And do you remember specifically who the member was that offered that advice? Everybody is great to jump in with help, advice, encouragement, I don’t think I could name just one. I think all of you are wonderful! I can’t think of anything specific right now.
Have you ever met a mommysaver? Yeah, if you count my cousin! LOL
What is the most romantic thing your dh ever did for you? Breakfast in bed!!!!! That’s always a winner!!!!!

What hobby do you enjoy the most? What got you started on it? How would you rate yourself? Can you show us a picture of your proudest piece of work? Scrapbooking! My cousin RollTideMommy got me started with Creative Memories. I was a consultant for 2 years. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the best, I would rate myself about a 7! I am really behind right now!!!!! I don’t have access to anything to post now. We are in the midst of painting and taking down wallpaper. But my boys baby books are what I am proudest of. Although they are a work in progress!
How many frogs did you kiss before you found Mr. Right? Was he worth the wait? Only 1, and yeah, he was worth the wait!
What is your favorite genre of music? Who is your favorite group? Have you ever seen them in concert? I like lots of different kinds of music. 80’s groups are what I revert back to, but Elton John, Billy Joel, are a couple that come to mind.
List three things you have on your Life List; things you would like to accomplish before you leave this world
Get my nursing degree
serve as a missionary in some part of the world so I can lead others to Christ.
Travel the US and other places.

Which room in your house best reflects your personality? At this moment, NONE OF THEM!!!! We are painting and about the tear up carpet and put down laminate, so it’s all a mess right now!!!!
What do you see your children growing up to be like? What career path would they choose? I can see my oldest son in some kind of outdoor science field involving animals. I can see my second son in some kind of business field, although he loves the outdoors, he is also a fashion guy, and has very specific ideas about what he wants, and is a people pleaser. I can see my 3rd son as a doctor! He is left handed, has a very specific agenda when he gets up, and he gets up at the crack of dawn.
Is there something we would never guess about you? Some kind or quirk you have no one close to you knows about. (C’mon tell us!!!!) Not really, I’m pretty BORING! I do however get chocolate cake icing and eat it right out of the little container!
Are there words you live by? What are they? I guess that would have to be the “Golden Rule”. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. My grandpa always used to talk to me about treating everyone the same. Treat people with respect, compassion, love and care. Just because someone has less or more than you shouldn’t matter. You should treat them exactly like you would want them to treat you. Show them God’s love. I really try to live my life that way.
